We are recruiting for a Group Sales Director to join the senior management team based at our Headquarters at Innovation Birmingham’s Digital Campus (former Science Park).
First Orchard is a holding company for Made in the Midlands and Made in Yorkshire ( www.madeinthemidlands.com www.madeinyorkshire.com ) we are a membership business with more than 600 customers from the manufacturing sector. We support members with a unique digital platform and microblogging service, in addition to hosting weekly best practice factory tours, a major annual trade exhibition and social events.
We have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre, proactive and experienced Sales Director to join our senior management team and lead, grow and inspire our small sales team through a significant sales transformation. You will take accountability for the entire Sales function, including the delivery of sales volume, margin and profitability targets. We need an intelligent, collaborative and well-structured approach to the management responsibilities of the sales team and its activities.
It is essential that the successful individual has a proven track record of success in a similar position and a proven ability to lead and motivate, exceeding targets and maximising profitability across all areas of our sales. A desire to bring new ideas to continue to drive performance is paramount. An insight into and an understanding of the UK manufacturing sector would be an advantage. Based in Birmingham, this is a hands-on role with limited travel in the UK, primarily in the Midlands and Yorkshire regions.
